UberSocial for Blackberry Born After Suspension of Twidroyd and UberTwitter

A lot of Twitter users accessing network services through programs or applications outside of Twitter. This is possible because others are guided in the Twitter API and its policies so that you can access Twitter from desktop programs and Tweetdeck, Seesmic or Hootsuite and iOS applications, Blackberry, Android, etc.

But in the end, Twitter who controls the atmosphere of software that can access the network, and in the case of Twidroyd UberTwitter and considered that they were not following their policies and had to suspend them both. The big problem is that millions of users were using these 2 software, so the unrest was marked. But above all, had to solve the problems ... What were these problems?

As UberTwitter, which is available for iPhone and Blackberry, it seems that the problem was simply his name. Twitter apparently to avoid confusion with the official applications, does not allow to use the brand name in third party applications, so they were forced to rename UberTwitter to UberSocial. Something that was ultimately beneficial for them as they added integration with Facebook.

As Twidroyd, the application for Google's operating system (Android), I have understood that the new system did not use OAuth (not sure because I have not used) to enter the username and password through Twitter's website and then give permission to the application.

The New UberSocial apart from being available for iPhone and Blackberry, now have their own Desktop Edition, which will include interesting things like UberChannels and gain access to content or site that is linked in the tweets directly in the application. Desktop UberSocial is currently in closed beta, so you'll be asked to join the Beta or wait until it is available to everyone.

We must also know that both are UberTwitter as Twidroyd UberMedia company and Echofon and Popurls, plus a week ago bought the popular Tweetdeck. With this, UberMedia now manages about 20% of total tweets. Some criticized Twitter because they felt it was all a ruse to use the official applications, but we must recognize that the problem of Twidroyd was very large and that as to UberTwitter although it might sound exaggerated, after all is your brand and your product is and should pursue their own interests.
